Okay, so I am going to take this opportunity to do a half-time recap:
First trimester:
- Nausea, tiredness, sour cream, bread, messy house, more nausea, more sour cream... Cannot even look at/smell milk, eggs, apple juice, ... (the list is actually REALLY long...)
- The horrible smell in our hallway and downstairs bathroom that made me throw up every time I walked by and forgot to hold my breath. The smell that only I could smell and no amounts of cleaning and air freshners could not supress, and trust me, Doug tried!
- Crazy dreams, mostly nightmares. Confusing reality and stuff that only happened in my dream... Fun times!
First trimester = one uncomfortable big blur. Lost weight. Felt like it was going to last forever, and still, I feel like it was gone in a blink of an eye! Yes, I realize that makes no sense. But it's true.
Second trimester so far:
- Tons of energy, feeling great, happy feelings, hot dogs, cold cuts with some more cold cuts, everything tastes and smells awesome. No more sour cream and bread! I do drink tons of apple juice and milk, though...
- Started to gain weight now, I am curious to see what the doctor's scale says! Belly is definitely growing at an incredible rate!
- Very occasionally I can feel the baby move now! Five bucks says that our baby will be a trained kickboxer by the time he/she is born! Also, less than a week and I should be able to drop half of the "he/she" and just use the appropriate one!
- Oh yes, and for the first time in my life I feel dumb. And no, I don't mean I had a blonde moment, I mean I just went back to grade 3. Maybe further back. But hey, at least I'm happy all the time!!! LOL
Second trimester = happyness + fun + death of millions of braincells
Let's see what else...
Doug felt the baby kick (move?) last night!!! Very exciting! Huge life-altering moment!
I guess this is it for now. I will add more stuff as I remember it. (Ha! ME remembering stuff...)

I'm sooo glad you're loving your 2nd tri! I looooved mine too. A little too much. When I was around 26 weeks I was pretty sure I could take over the world and I took on waaaaay too much and regretted it huge time when I was committed to a job that was supposed to go until I was 38 weeks lol. I ended up stopping at 37 weeks. But it just goes to show the difference between the 2nd and 3rd tris. ENJOY ENJOY ENJOY your 2nd trimester (and the start of your third).
And EEEK finding out the sex! Cannot even WAIT! I think it's a boy. I dunno why, it would just be cool if it was a boy and he could meet Juliet and they could have a long distance romance and....ok that might be a little far fetched right. Teeheehee.
I know what you mean about losing brain cells. It's WEIRD. Like when you can't find the right word. Does that happen to you a lot? It happened to me ALL the time!
Anyways, keep up your pregnancy journal. You're gonna love reading it back after. I love looking at mine! I can't wait to hear what comes next for you!!!! And when you can...MORE BELLY PHOTOS!!!!
